During my recent visit, I sampled the Rainbow Roll and Tuna Tataki. The Rainbow Roll was an explosion of flavors, marrying perfectly with the freshness of the fish and a delicate touch of avocado and cucumber. Each slice was a work of art, allowing my palate to explore the delicate balance of textures and tastes. The Tuna Tataki, lightly seared and paired with a zesty ponzu, was a triumph of simplicity and flavor that left me yearning for more. The presentation of each dish was immaculate, showcasing the chefs' dedication to their craft.

As I settled into the mellow soundtrack gracing the bar, I felt enveloped in a community atmosphere that made it easy to connect with fellow diners. The attentive waiter service further enhanced the experience, making me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer.

In conclusion, Ooi Sushi and Bar is a culinary gem that successfully blends traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine in a setting that welcomes all. Goated sushi place with soooooooooo many options LOL. The place is huge so we were seated right away, and all the food came out SO quickly too. They have happy hour until 7pm on weekdays, and when we ordered gyoza the lady automatically applied the happy hour deal without us asking. I need to come back to try their sushi pizza and other interesting-sounding apps.

We ordered delivery from here and the rolls were so yummy. The fish tasted pretty good and the rolls weren't packed with too much rice. Food was made and delivered in a timely manner and packed nicely. Will definitely try again. The roll we got was the Godzilla roll and then some spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and nigiri. Miso soup was pretty good too.

Friendly and efficient service, extensive menu to fit many tastes and preferences, and of course, solid sushi! The agedashi tofu was great -- silky interior with a slightly crispy exterior, and served still piping hot. Our other two rolls were elaborate and filled with super tasty raw and cooked fish. I was impressed at the size of the rolls as well as the freshness of all the fish used!

Decently priced lunch special with chirashi, sashimi, and 3 rolls under $20 on weekdays before 3. There's a ton of space for large or smaller parties, and the playlist is composed of great covers of good songs from the past. My party of 3 all got the 3 roll lunch special for $17 which comes with a soup AND salad. The miso soup had enoki mushrooms which was a pleasant surprise! I got the eel avocado, salmon avocado, and yellowtail. The salmon avocado and yellowtail were good but the eel had a weird smell unfortunately. My friends shrimp tempura and Boston roll were notably really big! We were able to stay and catch-up and the servers didn't have any issues and even refilled our waters. I'd come back for the lunch special.

A hidden gem in LIC! Walked past this place many times before coming to try on a Sunday evening - absolutely amazing! It is so affordable (lunch deals look crazy too), cozy, and the food is really really good with huge portions. Food comes out so quickly and the servers are really friendly as well. Must visit!! FOOD: Sushi Deluxe (8/10): Really good set of nigiri and a nice roll to accompany it. For the price, you really can't beat it! Rock N Roll (7/10): Fish was fresh, but didn't taste too much in the roll itself. Will still say it's really good as the portions are huge 2019 Roll (8/10): Again, huge portions of fish. This was super tasty too!!

Hands down my favorite happy hour spot in LIC. The tempura sweet potato maki is SO good, the beer is cheap, and the ambiance is serene. Service is always excellent and seating is both comfy and plentiful.
